Adsense doesn’t allow Blogspot!

Sep-29th-2008

An interesting decision from Google. From now onwards, new visitors are not allowed to signup to Google Adsense by using a Blogspot Domain. This will stop all of those people creating a Blogspot website, copying some content and then submitting it so they don’t get rejected because of the spam they’re going to use their accounts on. This is actually a great decision, it will stop more spam going into the network.

Luckily, those who already have advertisements shown on their Blogspot sites won’t be effected so it will still work for them. From now also, you can’t create a URL Channel for a Blogspot website either. This doesn’t make that much difference however, you can still create normal Custom Channels and use them for your Blogspot websites.

All in all, this a very good decision from Google, although there will be a lot of unhappy people from it.
