The big Search Engine Ask.com has made another attempt to catch up to giants Google.
Ask.com have been behind Google and Yahoo for quite a while. While Google has been constantly improving, Ask just hasn’t seemed to improve much, “yesterday’s news”.
They’ve decided to do another redesign. They claim that this new design will make the site load quicker. They also plan to make the Search Engine Results more relevant. Maybe this will help them slightly.
What is funny is the market share they actually have. In the US, Google has a whopping 60% Market Share whilst struggling Ask have just 2%. It shows a lot of difference.
Ask have also shown TV Commercials. They claim that “The advert draws the people in; but the product let them down” and that is one of the reasons for the redesign, they’ve finally released they need to start improving if they’re ever going to catch up to some of the other ones.
Google is still going very strong, and probably will be for quite a long time in future.
