To build links to your websites, a lot of people tend to buy Signature Links from popular users on forums. What this article will do is explain the positive and negative points of doing so, and whether you should actually buy them or not.
First of all, some people may not know what a Signature Link is (Although generally most people do). On forums, you are allowed a Signature which is shown below every post you make. You can put links to your websites in your signature to increase traffic and to build more links. Some people who post a lot sell their Signature Links to people with less posts so they can have their links in the signature.
Buying Signature Links can be really good as a quick way of building links. You could buy a signature of someone with thousands of posts for anything up to $30 a month maybe. This will obviously give you a huge increase of links. Second of all, you’ll probably get some extra traffic from it because on forums related to the link, users seeing the posts will be interested in the link. Maybe you could get some extra sales too from it. It can improve the awareness of your website too, and if it is a new site, it should definately help you get indexed quicker.
On the other hand, buying signature links can be quite uneffective. Firstly, this isn’t confirmed but it could be true. If you buy a signature link from a person with a lot of posts, you could find that Google penalizes you for having a huge increase of backlinks in a short time. I don’t think that this has happened to many people (If at all) but it is an idea. Also, you may not have as many backlinks as you originally thought because Google, Yahoo and all of the other main Search Engines generally don’t count all of the links from one domain.
In conclusion, buying Signature Links is actually a great way to increase traffic and backlinks. Of course you could just make a lot of posts yourself, but if you didn’t have the time, buying them would be a lot easier. Even though the main Search Engines won’t count all of the links from one domain, you could still expect quite a lot of links from it.
