Free or Paid Hosting?

Aug-1st-2008

There are a lot of Web Hosts around these days, all looking to provide you with Web Hosting for your websites. You have to look around to find the best Web Hosting deals, and you should definately consider the factors of the Web Host - such as how professional it looks and how long they have been in business.

First of all, it is really easy to find Free Web Hosting. Simple searches on Google will return many results of Free Web Hosts, all providing certain features and limitations. Some hosts provide packages with High Space and Bandwidth, but force you to put advertisements on your website. Nobody really likes ads, never mind forced ads for your Web Hosting Company. One positive of Free Hosting is that you normally get some extra features to use in the Control Panel - such as counters, guestbooks, and basic scripts that you could use on your website. The only real negative of Free Web Hosting is that you’ll get a small Hosting Plan, restricting you to the small limits you have. Of course having forced ads on your website is a very bad thing if you’re trying to run a Business.

Paid Web Hosting is also very easy to find. Simple searches on Google will return some big Hosting Companies with their giant plans. If you’re looking for Paid Web Hosting, it could be better if you looked on Forums and Communities for Web Hosts, because sometimes you’ll get a better Package, and you’ll avoid some of the strict Terms of Service conditions that the bigger Hosts have. Paid Hosts generally do not put ads on your websites, well they aren’t much of a good Company if they do. That is one of the positive points about Paid Web Hosting. You’ll also get a bigger Hosting Package. However, not all people have either the money to purchase Paid Hosting, or some people do not have the Payment Methods available (Credit Card, Paypal, etc…).

In conclusion, it probably is best to go with Paid Hosting to avoid the Advertisements on your website if you have the funds or the methods to, but if not, there is still some good Free Web Hosts around that don’t put forced ads on. There is a lot of competition in Web Hosting, if you search around you are guaranteed to find a Package suited for your needs.
