If you’re currently using Web Hosting at the moment, and you are on a plan that gives something like 400GB Bandwidth or 50GB Space for prices around $3 or $4, then your Web Host is probably overselling. What this means is, the host can’t actually provide the service that you’re paying for, so if you get anywhere near to what you’re being offered, then you’ll probably get banned, and given a very silly reason for it to disguise it.
Some people are fine with this because at least they’re got a good amount of resources for cheap, but a lot of people won’t go with them because people want to receive what they pay for, and that makes total sense.
If you’re looking for hosting, I recommend using some hosting that doesn’t oversell, that way you are guaranteed to receive what you want, even if you aren’t receiving as much as you do with Overselling.
In conclusion, Overselling is a thing that a lot of Hosts use, and it can most of the time be the cause that brings them out of business, because if too many people use too many of the resources they’re been given, they won’t be able to provide it and have issues therefore.
