Digital Point has a very established forum. Of course most Webmasters have heard of it, but there has been a lot of people leaving the forum too. This is for many reasons.

• Rules - Over the years, the forums are getting more and more stricter. More rules are being added all the time. There was a time where users could exchange currencies and trade Social Bookmarks. There can’t be much reason for not allowing it.
• Moderators - Pointless infractions are given. Pretty much everyone on the forum will have had an infraction at some point. They give an infraction for posting in the wrong section accidently - Isn’t it their job to move the thread and not just give infractions?
• Fraud - There is a lot more fraud than there is on other forums, in the Buy, Sell, Trade section of Digital Point Forums. There is an ever-increasing amount of scams.
• Same Threads - The same sorts of threads are posted all of the time. I’m mainly talking about Google PageRank. There are at least 5 threads posted everyday asking when the PageRank Update is. No wonder people are leaving. This isn’t really much of the Moderator’s and Administrator’s fault however.

Now this next part isn’t really a reason why members leave, but it is interesting. Shawn Hogan, the owner of Digital Point Forums, is being sued by Ebay for Cookie Stuffing. Yes thats right, the thing the forum strictly banned from happening. So while he was banning it from happening on the forum, he was busy doing it himself, making well over $50,000… A bit of a hippocrate don’t you think?

The forum used to be a good place to visit, but it is really starting to go sour now. Hopefully they’ll change the rules and make it how it was years ago.
